As with many historic buildings, the Pearlbrook Station post office was not designed with the automobile in mind and thus lacks some of the amenities that are found in more modern post office branches. The Save our Post Office campaign has been launched to protect the interests of low and moderate income residents, many of whom are seniors, that depend on this location.

SAVE OUR POST OFFICE ( ? ) While the building has historic value, the current site lacks practicality.
Parking in the back and the entrancce in the front, every time I walk through that alley I get claustrophobic. The lack of a drive by mail drop is not convenient, and there is no way to add one at this location. When they tried one on Pearl Rd., somebody always parked in front of it.

The Old Brooklyn Connected Wi-Fi is a pilot project that has been led by Ward 13 councilman Kelley, and therefore only covers Ward 13. Once this demonstration project goes well it is expected that the network will be expanded to other areas of Cleveland.

Why the Valley Road streets excluded from the Wi-FI area. I pay the same taxes as everyone else in the neighborhood?

Hi David,

The area known as the Schaaf/Broadview triangle where you live is considered a priority area for construction moving forward. I can’t provide a definite date, but rest assured that the process is moving forward as quickly as possible. Once the approvals are received the access points can go up relatively quickly, especially since the node you will be connecting through has already been built at Silverdale & Broadview.

I live on Merl Ave. (between W. 14th and Broadale). Any definite date yet on when the antennas will be fitted to CEI utility poles.

Hi Carol, the boundaries of the Old Brooklyn Connected Wi-Fi can be found here. West 11th is outside of Ward 13, but we encourage you to take advantage of the Old Brooklyn Connected Wi-Fi whenever you are in Ward 13 at your favorite restaurants, shops, or visiting friends and family.
