Wi-Fi Antennas

Old Brooklyn Connected Wi-Fi can be accessed by any wirelessly enabled device.  This includes portable music devices, tablets, laptops, wirelessly enabled desktops, and most newer video game consoles.

The network is, however, primarily an outdoor network.  The access points mounted on street lights broadcast a signal that may not penetrate into buildings.  In order to ensure the highest quality service, the Old Brooklyn CDC recommends using the following CPE:

Standard Home Setup

  • Ubiquiti NanoStation Loco M2
  • Approx. $70 – $80 retail ($80 deposit in lending library)
  • Highest strength antenna
  • Wireless N
  • Mounts to window with suction cup
  • Ethernet
  • Can connect to home router
  • Easy to use
  • Highly recommended for multiple device households
  • Most popular choice

If you are interested in purchasing the Standard Home Setup, please call the Tech Support Line at to find out how to purchase one.  After purchasing, the device will need to be configured by our tech support staff member prior to use.

The closest vendor is Rowe Wireless in Cambridge, OH, and they can be reached at .  Old Brooklyn Connected, the City of Cleveland, and Old Brooklyn CDC to not endorse any particular vendor of these devices.
